Sultan Shaikh has successfully completed his first year engineering from Fr. Conceicao  Rodrigues College of Enginering, Bandra (Mumbai) with the help of people like you who helped raise 50% of his fee last year. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to #HelpSultan campaign through crowd-funding portal Milaap last year.

One year has almost passed and now Sultan is preparing for his final exam of first year Engineering and would be applying for admission to second year in July 2017. The total fee for the second year is expected to be Rs. 1,40,000 (exact fee for second year would be known only June  2017 end, however, have mentioned this fee considering 10% rise from last year) which would be excluding books, coaching and other expenses which come close to around 2 lakh.

Sultan's family is still staying in the same 10×12-feet rented room in Bharat Nagar slum in Bandra (East) along with all five members (father, mother, young brother and a sister) and managing in the same room somehow. His father and my younger brother Mustafa has now recovered fully from his Tuberculosis which made hell for the family last year with almost 3-4 months he was under stress and couldn't open his shop putting his family financially very weak and was sad that he couldn’t save any money for his son's admission. He earns Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month and had to pay rent, support family as well as send money back home in UP to parents leaving no savings for his three kids including Sultan's engineering course. Sultan is eldest of them all and his two siblings Fiza and Zeeshan are studying in government school in Bharat Nagar and Kala Nagar in Bandra East.

Milaap has been a great platform for needy people looking to generate fund for various needs and needless to say they are doing a commendable job everyday to help people raise money.

In his first year of engineering course itself he has been part of a project team which is building a motorcar and will be going to Chandigarh along with his team to present his project to a University and also raise fund for his project.
