16th Annual INTER SCHOOL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT-2018
16TH Annual INTER School Basketball Tournament is conducted by St. Patrick’s Alumni Network at St. Patrick’s High School, Sebastian Road, Secunderabad in memory of one of the most prominent Principal’s of this prestigious institution which has completed over 100 years of rendering quality education.
Rev. Fr. M. Devasia Basketball Tournament is one of the pioneer Basketball Tournaments which is being conducted every year for boys and girls schools (upto 10 Class only). The tournament is being conducted for the past 15 years in the month of July/August every year and is the only tournament conducted for School which has gone strength to strength every year.
Many players who have participated in this tournament have gone on to represent the State in various National Championships.
Two of those players have also represented India at Junior as well as Senior Level.
The tournament is totally funded by Old students of St. Patrick’s High School, through St. Patrick’s Alumni Network. However from the 15th edition last year it was decided to increase the competitiveness of this Tournament by switching from Knock-Out format to League-cum-Knockout format. Hence a team has more opportunity for qualifying into the Knockout phase of the Tournament, thereby increasing the budget of this Tournament manifold.
As St. Patrick’s Alumni Network has no other source of income except donations from Old Students, it is imperative to explore various fund raising opportunities for successful conduct of this Tournament.
Hence these fund raising campaign.
