    This fundraiser will benefit

    Parveen Rambose

    from Bangalore, Karnataka

My name is Parveen Rambose. I come from a very humble background. As a young boy I lived in a slum in Bangalore and from the age of five to fifteen, I was forced into child labor to support my family by working at cleaning plates at hotels, making pani puris and rag picking. I am now a professional football player.

This crowdfunding campaign is to raise funds for something that will change 8 lives and make dreams come true. Yes, your right. Its for a slum football team for Bangalore. They have been accepted to play a friendly international football match in Madrid, Spain against Madrid Slum Soccer School on August 5th 2018. This is a dream come true for them. However, I do not have necessary funds and would like to seek support to raise the same. They need around 5.2L for the entire cost for all 8 kids(food, accommodation, travel(to and fro)) . Please do support this campaign by funding it and spreading the word.

Upon completion of their match, they would receive sponsorship for their education under sports quota. We can even ask sponsors to setup the first slum soccer school. We contacted many sponsors to help but they asked us the profits for them by funding us. This is the first time for these kids.

MY STORY:
I have lived in a slum all my life and have been into child labor as well. I know the difficulties I have faced, the hardships gone through my life. I was luckily been picked up by an NGO who taught me to read and write. That's when I took football as my profession career. I have been playing for HAL team for 2 years now.I have represented India in slum soccer tournaments where I played against Brazil and Guatemala.

I have also completed my BBM degree in Business Management from St. Josephs College, Bangalore. I have done all my schooling through sports quota and some meagre savings.

Social Contribution:

I have been working with UNICEF in helping develop sports to NGOs, trusts. Have taught football to Guhu tribe in Gujarat, setup workshops in slums in Chennai and Kerala.

Profession:
I have represented India in Slum Soccer , 2012. Played football matches for international matches. Have been part of Soccer Slum Project, winning the best football player.

Future Plans:
After these kids come back. I would like to start the first international Slum Soccer School for underprivileged kids. I would like to gain management skills, importantly on how to run a football school. India needs more professional-career oriented soccer schools and college. Therefore, my dream is to start one. I would like to conduct outreach programs, providing therapeutic soccer for underprivileged children(juveniles and substance abused victims) and communities in slums and tribal communities.

COSTS
My friends and I have been able to collect 1L from our savings excluding the 5.2L. What is needed to be supported for the 8 kids with is:
  • Travel Costs( to and fro air tickets)
  • Visa Expenses
  • Food and Accomodation
  • Crowdfunding and Misc Costs
