Sevalaya’s school serves about 40 villages surrounding its centre. Over 26 years ago, when Sevalaya’s school started, the village population consisting of farm labourers and brick kiln workers was sending the children to work, not to school. Even among a few who could get education up to basic level, females were excluded. Now the position is that child labour is almost completely eradicated in this area. 2000 children attend Sevalaya’s school, approximately half of them are girls. Sevalaya’s school has achieved near 100% results in Public examinations almost consecutively and consistently. In the latest 12th Standard Public Exam, Sevalaya’s school scored 100% results. In Sevalaya's Mahakavi Bharathiyar Higher Secondary School, presently about 2000 students are studying. Apart from free education, we provide free uniforms (two sets) to each of the students from LKG to Higher Secondary.
We provide free quality uniforms - 2 sets - To all 2000 Poor children including 200 Orphan/destitute residential children of Sevalaya.
