    Kalyani Animal Welfare Foundation

    from New Delhi, Delhi

Millions of homeless dogs roam around the streets, lonely and hungry. India itself is home to more than 30 million stray dogs, attributable to approximately 20,000 cases of rabies every year. Enactus Motilal Nehru College, a student-run social entrepreneurial organisation, along with Kalyani Animal Welfare Foundation, seek your little help to nurture a positive impact in the lives of these dejected street dogs through its Crowd Funding Campaign.

Kalyani Animal Welfare Foundation undertakes sterilization and vaccination of the strays against rabies, and tirelessly works towards bringing awareness and compassion for animals. On the other hand, Enactus MLNC's DESI model (i.e Duty to Empathise Sterilize and Immunise stray dogs) has been working in different parts of Delhi and NCR (Sector 32 in Noida; Bhagat Singh College, Hansraj college, South Campus, Motibagh, Jawahar camp, Mayapuri and Motilal Nehru College in Delhi; and Mayfields Garden in Gurgaon to name a few) to extend a sustainable and humane method of population control through sterilization and to protect stray dogs from rabies through immunization. Our endeavor would benefit not only stray dogs, but also humans who get the rabies virus from rabid dogs. These dogs are often treated harshly, being subjected to prejudices by humans just because of certain misconceptions and fears, so we need to understand that these dogs are not a nuisance but victims to numerous atrocities and vagaries of nature and deserve all the help they can get.

Please support our efforts by donating for our cause. Your kind gift will always be used in the most efficient way possible to assist the voiceless. It’s not the size of the donation that matters, but the heart of the donor that makes the difference.
Let's take a small step towards peaceful coexistence of both, humans and animals.
