For the last one year 12-year-old Sanju, son of Holiya, has been fighting a severe bone marrow disease called Fanconi Anemia.
What is Fanconi Anemia
It is a disease passed down through families (inherited) that mainly affects the bone marrow. It results in decreased production of all types of blood cells. Symptoms can be severe and cause multiple infections, bruising, fatigue, breathlessness and blood in stools.
This is far to severe for a young boy called Sanju who has been asked to immediately undergo a bone marrow transplant. His father has been matched as a donor.
The total cost of treatment and transplant is over 32 Lakh Rs. Unfortunately, this amount is far too high for Holiya to afford who is a daily wage earner earning only 2000 Rs a month. He needs our help to save his son.
