Why am I fundraising?

Angeline Deborah is my friends sister has been admitted to Christian Medical College, Vellore (CMC No.502637D) . She suffers from Chronic Kidney Disease stage 5- e GFR 12.73ml/min on CAPD, Refiux Nephropathy, Anemia-Iron deficiency and CKD. She was first diagnosed in 2009, and started dialysis from 2013. In simpler words, her kidney doesn't function normally. Her Dad is a driver and Mom works as a teacher in a private school, her younger brother is still studying. They were given the option to transplant from 2013, but since both of their savings have been spent on her monthly treatment they were not able to move forward with the transplant as it is expensive. They were given the option about 5 times in the past 3 years, but they could not afford it. They have managed to pay for the treatment this far.

On 11 Feb 2016, she was taken to CMC in Vellore as there was an infection in the peritoneal cavity. PD fluid analysis revealed turbid fluid, she has been admitted there from 11 Feb 2016. On 29 Feb 2016 report said she suffered from severe renal failure and is in need of renal transplantation. Her only solution now to a better life is a kidney transplant. Now, there is a kidney ready for transplant. The estimated cost for the transplant alone is Rs. 8,81,000. This has to be arranged in a week. And she also has additional cost post transplant. She has got clearance for a transplant. This is the sixth time. They don't have any money as they have run out of their savings. And they're hoping to raise enough funds to do the transplant. They are waiting for a miracle. Please be Debbie's Miracle.

What do I plan to do with the funds?

Deborah needs to undergo a kidney transplant immediately. The cost of kidney transplant and treatement is approximately 10 lakhs. Your contribution will help Angeline Deborah. Funds collected will be used for the treatement of Angeline Deborah.
