Thank you for the overwhelming love and support that you have shown towards Anandkumar. I have some unfortunate news to share with you today, our beloved Anandkumar has decided to leave us.
He lost the battle between life and death last evening(3rd May) at around 7.30 pm after struggling with a chronic liver ailment for over two months at a couple of hospitals in Chennai.
Your timely support ensured that he received the best treatment possible. All the funds raised via this crowdfunding platform on Milaap will be first used to settle the hospital bills. In case any surplus is available, it will be transferred towards his family."

43 year old Anandkumar has been battling a critical illness, Hepatitis B, and needs a liver transplant for his survival. He has been in ICU ventilator for the last 2 months at Apollo Chennai. His infection is spreading to multiple organs. He is the only earning member in the family and has a 9 year old son who is waiting eagerly for his father to return. His 80 year old mother can't see her ailing son lose this battle to this disease.
All family savings have been utilized for the treatment and the insurance coverage has been also exhausted. Anand needs your help to overcome this critical illness. The total cost for treatment and the transplant is INR 30,00,000. The family has already spent the entire insurance amount and needs your help to pay the bills for his survival and treatment. We've attached the estimation letter from the treating doctor Dr Joy Varghese and his assessment.
