Two months back, 19-year-old Saidul's life changed after he found out that he had a cancerous tumor in his left leg. Due to the lack of funds his father, Afzar Khan was unable to afford the treatment.
What he thought was at first just a simple swelling from an injuring turned out to be a cancer that could now take his leg.
His condition has worsened to such a point that now he cant even walk and the only way to prevent the cancer from spreading is to amputate his leg.
This young boy gave up going to school in order to help his father who earns a mere salary of 2000 Rs as a tailor.
"Boys his age are living their dreams and it hurts to think that my son may never get that because of the cancer"
The total cost of the surgery is around 1.30 lakh Rs. Saidul is also doing chemotherapy which is itself very expensive. Unfortunately, Afzar is unable to afford the treatment with a tailors salary and is worried that without the money he will lose his son.
"Everyday that we delay the surgery is another day of unbearable pain for my son. But even after the surgery I doubt he will ever be able to live a normal life without one leg."
