Please Support Rashika. I too had dreams. I'm Rashika, a vivacious young Kashmiri Pandit girl of twenty-five who had come to the NCR region to make a life for myself and also to support my parents and a younger sister.

I had my struggles but life was kind to provide me with a decent job where I was just able to sustain myself as well as provide for my parents.  I was looking forward to a new chapter of life when my parents did my engagement a couple of months back. Life seemed to come to normal for our family who had been through so much in the Kashmir turmoil.

But!! A highway road traffic accident appears to put a rude and cruel jolt on my ride of life. Here am I in a hospital ward, with spine fracture, cord contusion, and paraplegia; not able to feel or move a thing below chest level. The spine fracture has been operated on and fixed but still leaves me with no sensation, no power, and no bowel or bladder control. Life has turned topsy-turvy where as per doctors around me I will never be able to stand or walk again. With an intact brain and emotions, it feels too much to bear.

I still have a dream!! But this time a faint one. It is a dream where I am able to rehabilitate to the best that my medical condition permits , to a life  where I can live with dignity and be productive still to live a life for me and my parents.

My treatment requires lot of hard work and will power  from my side but moreover requires funds for my treatment and physical rehabilitation.

I  do have enough trust on God, humanity and my karma to hope that you would support me get best treatment so that this faint dream becomes a reality.
