I am Biswajit Sardar, science graduate. From my school days I am working for the cause of needy and deprived of my community for a handsome living with equity and justice. In the year 2005, I with my group of friends formed a people platform namely Bhanru Ramkrishnapur Gramin Unnayan Sanstha located at South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal(Sundarbans delta region). It renders its services for the cause of women, children and youth of the community.
The project for which I seek your donation is Welfare and Rehabilitation of Children of Domestic Help. From our community and its adjoining area, a huge number of women of poor community involves as domestic help because of their socio-economic backwardness. They work at Calcutta city and its suburban area and they leave their home at 4:00 am and return from their work place at 4:00 pm. Their jobs are low paying and there are hazards in their daily life. Thereafter, they have to leave their spring alone in their house. Their springs have to grow up with proper care and attention. They are deprived of their childhood's needs- education, health and nutrition, etc. They are in vicious cycle and their childhood is in crisis.
This proposed project would cover their education, health care and nutrition as well other services for revival of their lost childhood aiming to make them positive citizen. At the same time, for sustainability of this service, their mothers (domestic help) and younger girls (to protect early marriage and trafficking) they would cover under skill training for alternative livelihood.
This project would start tentatively from the early of January, 2019.
Donation/fund require for this project is
Education for children (includes schooling, remedial coaching and other support @Rs.5000/- per child for 100 children in a year- 500000/- INR
Health care and nutrition for 100 children @Rs.2000/- per child X 100 children- 200000/- INR
Skill training (includes equipment, materials, etc) for 50 women/young girls @Rs.2000/- per head X 50 - 100000/-
Administration (reporting & documentation)- Rs.100000/-
