The Fundraiser: Dr. Sankeerth Hebbar, Principal, Sri Ramakunjeshwara College, Ramakunja.
I have obtained my Ph.D. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science in 2011. My research was on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. Then I moved to School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Nottingham, UK, for my postdoctoral research. I co-guided 3 students for their Ph.D. in Dynamic nuclear polarisation in the laboratory of Sir Peter Mansfield, Nobel 2003. To contribute back my country, I moved back during early 2016. Since then I have been teaching Physics to BSc students and hading above-mentioned college towards success. I have a good team to guide and support in this great cause. However, we need more hands to join this venture of educating the needy
The beneficiary: Sri Ramakunjeshwara college was established to provide affordable-value education to the needy youth in the nearby villages. It started functioning in 2008 with only 30 students and has grown up to 300 in 10 years. The only aim of this institution is to fulfill the need for quality education in its surroundings. Keeping this in mind we offer BA, BBA, BCom and BSc courses with an all-inclusive cost of not more than ₹ 15,000 a year.
However, being an unaided, private institution, we can not afford to fulfill everything needed for the students. Because with 28 lecturers, our priority is imparting quality education. Along with this students require hostel facility, auditorium, sports ground and special training for competitive examinations.
Our immediate requirement is a ladies hostel for 50. Because the majority of our students are children of daily wage workers. These parents spend most of their money on alcohol and hence cannot provide a healthy environment and nutritious food to their children.
Along with this, we need to waive the college fees of at least 10% of the students every year.
The sum required: 90, 00, 000/-
Hostel: ₹ 70, 00, 000.
Scholarships: ₹ 10, 00, 000.
Training for exams: ₹ 1, 00, 000.
Auditorium: ₹ 5, 00, 000.
Sports ground: 4, 00, 000.

Prof. Vedavyasa Ramakunja (M.Com) The Director:
Retired professor of Commerce and Management, Vivekananda College, Puttur. He has been a lecturer since 1981 and Principal at Vivekananda college for 8 years. He is an experimental educationist with experience and involved in developing our college since 2010.
Ms. Divya Kumari ( B.Sc, M.Sc) Science coordinator: She has been a scientist for 6 years in the field of Chemistry. Has work experience in Indian Institute of Science and abroad. With the dream of providing service to this country and society, she moved back to India. She is currently heading the science division of our college.
Mr. Radhakrishna K. S. ( B.Sc.) Management Correspondent: He is the management correspondent of Sri Ramakunjeshwara Vidyavardhaka Sabha (R), Ramakunja. He is a businessman by profession and innovative educationist by passion. Currently in charge of one Kannada medium primary school ( 250 students), Kannada medium high school ( 480 students) and a Pre-university college ( 600 students ) in this rural outfit of Ramakunja.
