Hello all,
I'm Tejas, a fellow at Teach For India and I teach third graders in GHPS Pantharapalya. I am starting this campaign because I want to build a library for my kids so that they can read without any obstacles - improve in all facets of life, make infrastructure changes in class - get mats for kids to sit on, projectors to teach them, get more lighting in class and many more.

Firstly I aim to focus on the aspect of reading. All the kids were behind their reading levels when i first came in. Now, they have started to read small words and now i envision them to read books and improve their skills. So I aim to create a library by the end of this month, which will give them sufficient time to read, learn and improve before we close the year.

As far as infrastructure developments are concerned - all kids sit on floors and that affect their writing. My class room is also a part store room and hence I may end up taking classes outside. As a child development of your body posture is of great importance. So, I aim to get small wooden tables that will ensure them a good posture and improve their writing gradually.
Lastly, in the class room/store room that I have, I aim to make it technology rich. I have seen the impact of technology in classroom. The happiness on my kids face when I show them a video as I do a lesson drives their interest levels and thus help them learn faster and better. So, I aim to get a projector that would facilitate all this.

I envision my children to be avid readers and great critical thinkers who get a lot of access and exposure through the books they read and the interactions they have in classroom.

I sincerely hope you'll support us to achieve all of this. :)

Any contributions will be appreciated so much. Help me make my kids the Pride of Pantharapalya. :)

Thank you.
