Pratik, 6-years-old, shows signs of uneasiness every now and then. He is not able to be like other children of his age. At such a tender age when a child sees the world, learns and plays, Pratik suffers from a very serious heart condition. He has a hole in his heart.
When Pratik was born, the family got everything they had wished for. Their lives were lit up by the presence of the child and all they could feel was pure happiness. But this did not last long. Soon after birth Pratik started showing signs of illness. He was constantly crying as though suffering from severe pain and often turned blue. When he was just 1.5 months old the family suspected that their child is seriously ill. That was the time when the family took Pratik to AIIMS, New Delhi. It was there that the family first got to know that their child is suffering from a disease they couldn’t have even imagined. Pratik was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease.
The family was shattered on hearing about their child’s ailment. More because of the huge amount that was to be gathered for the surgery of the child. Pratik was diagnosed with TOF and the surgery amount is way more than the family could afford.
