Prakrit is an alumnus of IIT KGP and IIM Calcutta. He completed his PGDM in 2014 and is currently pursuing his fellowship at IIMC. Most of us know him as Silal, Reg no 4028/19, student of Section B, a core member of JBS BaroC, bassist, and overall a wonderful human being.
Prakrit had complications with his renal system for many years and was on medications. However, in the last year, his condition has deteriorated. Prakrit was on frequent dialysis last year and now he's facing a dire situation where his renal system is in shutdown requiring dialysis 3 days a week.
He has run out of options and now has to undergo surgery for a kidney transplant on January 13th 2017. The surgery would cost around 12 lakhs INR including constant medications (~9L for surgery + additional 3L for medicines). Prakrit has managed to raise a considerable amount from his family and relatives but he would need as much help as possible in order to help him alleviate his financial burden. With this fundraiser, we intend to raise enough money to cover his surgery costs.
What is more heartening in his current situation is that his wife, Urvina (27 years) is donating her kidney for his surgery. By your contribution, you will be helping one of the most loveliest couple I know have a wonderfully long and healthy life ahead.
