Abusive marriages still happen. Parents/ Family of the girl not supporting the girl is still prevalent. Its true and happening.
This is the story of a woman who has gone through a highly abusive marriage for the last 10 years. She walked out of the marriage exactly 12 months back where she was cajoled by her parents and family to give it another try and was assured of support in case she went through the same again.
Abuse has been continued however she was beaten black and blue in April - which is when her nine year old son asked her to leave the married home with him and his little sister who is 5 years old girl.
The lady walked out going to her family - who have washed their hands of her and are asking her to return to her husband - they say they understand she is being abused - but the SOCIETY would not accept a 'single woman' with children...
The lady has had enough and has moved to Bangalore and is looking to stand on her feet - she is working super hard - starting at 4:30am - 7:30pm - despite working this hard she would be earning enough to keep her gas burning and paying rent for the room she is in.
She is thinking of making her children miss school this year and next as she does not have resources to pay for their education. Not just this - she is frightened on how she would manage work with the two little children alone at home (for this month May 2017) they are left with the family and she is here working hard to make ends meet.
We are here to ask to donate money so she can build her life this year, the support from the donations would have her see her children in school and after school program - which will allow her to work in peace.
