At Parikrma, 1800 children from over 80 slums in Bangalore get free CBSE English medium education. Our children are supported with a high-quality education, community support, and food and nutrition right up to the age of 18 – after which we support them through mentorship and sponsorship for their higher studies right up to the age of 25.
Our children are frequently exposed to best practices. While they do attend workshops in STEM, coding etc. these very sessions bring to light the state of our current available syllabus and its failure in helping children keep abreast with the latest.
Many of Parikrma alumni are currently working as software engineers in leading MNCs and we know that it has not been easy for them. We, therefore, would like to help strengthen the current computer science and technology study in our schools by making available the best study and work material.
How can you help change this?
We have put together some of the best books and study material, after interacting with thought leaders and experts in the field of computer science and technology. These books will be made available to our children right from grade 1-10. Each child will be provided a study book and workbook – costs ranging from INR 100 – 180. The books will help our children better their understanding of technology and computer science. More critically, the material has been carefully chosen to prepare our children to be hands-on and ready to take on a changing and highly dynamic industry, such as technology.
