According to the report of the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO), 32 million Indian children of age up to 13 years have never attended any school, the majority of them belonging to the socially disadvantaged class (2014). And worst came when the lockdown happened over 1.5 million schools across India closed down due to the covid-19 pandemic. Schools are completely shut down and children from unprivileged classes, who depend on mid-day meals provided by the government now have to suffer for nutrient meals and also for education.
To help underprivileged children Youth Empowerment Foundation(YEF) came up with the project “HUMARI PATHSHALA”. The main objective of this project is to nourish them by providing them quality education, food, stationery items. YEF team is relentlessly worked to make these families self-sufficient. And save their children from getting into child labourer.
