Requesting support to install solar street lamps in a Village.
Badkhera village in MP lacks street lights. So the streets go dark after sunset. This has caused many accidents in past where people have lost their life. This is also a security issue post sunset. Also there are many power cuts which leaves the village completely dark after sunset.
SayTrees funded 10 solar lamps in the village as a pilot project and it has been very successful . The areas are bright and has prevented accidents as well. People also gather close to the lamps if there is power cuts in their home after sunset. 6 more villages reached out to SayTrees to LIGHT UP their villages after seeing the pilot project in Badkhera.
SayTrees wishes to move to next stage after success of the pilot project. To LIGHT UP entire village we need total of 100 solar lamps but we wish to install 10 lamps at a time. This is to ensure we know the utilization of the lamps and how effectively the villagers are taking care of these solar lamps.
Requesting individuals and corporates to support SayTrees in lighting up this small village and set an example for other villages to follow. Corporates can support more lamps under their CSR initiatives.
