Hi Everyone! I am starting this campaign because of how deeply moved I was after visiting this Government Leprosy Hospital at Koratty, Kerala.

With over 180 patients and extremely scarce medical staff to take care of these patients, the government recently (7 months ago) cut funding for this hospital. They did so citing that Leprosy has been eradicated from the country without taking into consideration the existing patients and the stigma attached to the disease in the society. This means that not only are these patients suffering but the hospital could also cease to get food and other necessities required to take care of their patients effectively.

The hospital lacks basic resources like rice, clean sheets among a whole plethora of other things so any help that you might be be able to do will change the lives of these wonderful people residing in this hospital, some for over 45 years. Some times when all else fails, it's up to us as individuals to come together and try to fix it.
