Why am I fundraising?
Towards the Ironman Triathlon in aid of Shishu ShakthiI started serious running and triathlon activities in the late 2012. I quit smoking and took up this addiction. From then on went up the ladder slowly and constantly to complete marathons and Iron distance triathlons in local events. Having handled a variety of injuries, I have got a vast experience in running. I volunteer in marathons to help runners recover after the run by massaging. Currently, I am coaching a group of 23 runners to help them improve running form and marathon timings. In Sep 2014, I became the first man from Chennai to have completed the Ironman triathlon and am going back to Malaysia this year to challenge my own mind once again.
Above all, this time I am participating for a cause; to educate children from poor background. My body and mind is being challenged once again but my heart and soul will be happy if am able to raise funds to help educate children.
What do I plan to do with the funds?

FAQs
- The children sponsored by Shishu Shakthi are chosen after doing a thorough background check. They are orphans/single parent children coming from extremely poor background.
- We routinely check their report cards and interact with the students and teachers from the school also.- Shishu Shakthi also ensures that the child finishes school and is comfortably settled in a college and later on provided with job opportunities. This ensures that there is complete follow up with every child to secure a good future where they are well settled.
- Shishu Shakthi will update all donors with the list of students they are aiding and sponsors are welcome to meet them when they are in Chennai.
-Team Building and leadership workshops help bridge the gap between a slum dweller who has completed her basic education and a workplace which expects the student to be industry ready. These work shops help in reducing school drop out rates/violent crime rates by juveniles in the slums where all bad influences are readily available to lure the child away.
