Story

Since August 2017, 14-year-old Irfan Bhat, son of  Abdur Rehma Bhat was diagnosed with a severe blood disorder called Myelodysplastic syndromes are a group of disorders caused by poorly formed blood cells or ones that don't work properly.

The only treatment for Irfan now is to undergo a bone marrow transplant which costs around 30 lakh Rs.

Irfan was an active young boy before his life-changing diagnosis. At school, he studied well, was hard-working and well praised by teachers. His parents ensured he had a healthy and content childhood. They never imagined that their youngest child would be the one fighting the biggest battle of his life. Irfan’s father, Abdur, recalls the day of the diagnosis as one of the most difficult and distressing days of his life.

Abdul is a farmer and is struggling to find a way to pay for his treatment.
His father sold everything they had in a desperate attempt to save him

The treatment cost is far too high for Abdur to afford as he only earns 8000 Rs a month and needs our help to save his son.

“I have done everything I can to try and save my son, but it doesn’t seem to be enough. I’m struggling now. We don’t even have a home to go back to. I just want my son to be healthy again, but I’m helpless.”
