Story

Hi :) I am Indrani.
I am helping The WALL O BOOKS Project to raise funds.

I think this is a wonderful initiative which will allow millions across our country to dream. Most important of all, hope.

We want you to join our simple movement of hope to give 1 million vulnerable children in all the 29 states across India access to a hypercool Library + Laboratory and change their lives for ever.

We currently run 164 WALLOBOOKS Centers in 4 States - 100 in Kolkata, 59 in Delhi, 4 in Arunachal Pradesh & 1 in Telengana giving 50,000+ vulnerable children an amazing new way to shape their own future.

It takes us 2 DaysRs. 5000 and 100 Kids to start ONE WALLOBOOKS.
The kids build this entirely with their own hands.

Experience for yourself what it takes,
and what it means for the kids --

The WALL O BOOKS Project has now become a powerful Not for Profit movement to give every vulnerable child in India direct access to a Library + Laboratory.  Designed, Built and Managed by children living and growing up in bottom of the pyramid communities, it is a new way for them to discover, learn & have fun together.

We run 4 Core Programs in our centers,
designed to re:imagine learning for the children we serve.

Millions of vulnerable children in India are growing up in a narrow world. Where hope is not even a four letter word.

The Annual Status of Education Report published by PRATHAM says that barely 5 out of 10 in Standard V can read a basic Standard II level text. Close to 20% children can only read letters or not even that. 14% can read words but not sentences. 19% can read sentences but not longer text.

The final result is a population of young adults who are just not ready to participate in the vibrant dreams of a great country.

Our vision is to ensure that no child
at the bottom of the pyramid is left behind.

In 2018 we are on a mission to build
100 WALLOBOOKS in each state of India.

2900 in total across 29 states to cover 1 Million Kids.

164 done!
2736 more to go :)

We are raising Rs. 1 Crore to achieve our mission.

Read the attachments below to understand how the funds raised will be used, the awards we have won and the impact we are creating.
