Help GVN Sriram For Pre and Post Medical Expenses

Dear All,
I am Satyajit Samantaray and this appeal goes out as a humble request to all our well wishers. My fellow Colleague GVN Sriram @ Sriram Nagrajan aged 48 met with an road accident at ECR Road, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India on January 26, 2018 at 4 pm while returning to home in Scooter. He was immediately admitted to Apollo Speciality Hospital, Perungudi, OMR, Chennai on unconscious stage with severe head injury and right leg completely damaged. He underwent a surgery in his skull and right leg on the same day which lasted about 6-7 hours. The doctors had managed to contend the damage further and kept him in Severe Intensive Critical Unit (SICU) with ventilator support. Post clearance from Neurologist, both Plastic Surgeon and Orthopaedic doctors carried out multiple operations by fixing plates to bring his right leg into normal condition. However, post surgery/operation of his right leg, it developed infection in his lower part of his leg. Due to which the doctors had to amputate his right leg below the Knee ( on Feb 14, 2018) to save his life and to avoid the infection affectting his other organs too.
He has carried this battle very bravely till now with strong will-power and determination. We have now reached a stage where doctors have confirmed that his recovery process might take time without any outer deadline. Till such time he will have to be kept under medical observation. The doctors and their team had done their best for his recovery and with all our prayers for a speedy recovery he was able to hold on to breath till now.
GVN Sriram has been working in a private firm as General Manager Admin and has a wife (homemaker) with one daughter and one son. Both the children’s are studying in Class 9th and 8th respectively. As he struggled with his ailment he continued his battle to survive till now. We were able to meet his medical expenses with support from our organisation, friends and relatives.
He is in hospital for more than 3 weeks as of now and his medical expenses have reached Rs. 24 lakhs. Out of which, with the support of office, friends & family, we could manage to settle the bills upto Rs 13 lacs. Doctor has clearly indicated that it’s a long process and no time line can be set until he regain his consciousness. As the family has exhausted all their avenues to mitigate the expenses, the doctor has suggested to look for any crowd funding mechanism if possible.
Now he needs all your help, support, prayers and blessings to overcome this huge hurdle. The estimated Pre and Post surgery expense is around Rs. 40 – 45 lakhs with approx.5 to 6 months of recovery period. Through this fund raising campaign we look forward to your contributions in this crucial times for which we will be most grateful and indebted to you all.
