There are 36 district in Maharashtra. Out of 36 district 14 district facing drought condition. Solapur is one of the drought proven region in Maharashtra. Karmala is one of the block of Solapur district. There was very less rainfall in Karmala block. There are 118 villages in Karmala block & out of 118 villages 52 villages facing drought condition.
MPSSM proposed one village name Sade which is facing criticle drought condition so MPSSM decided to support farmers.
In Sade village there are many problem due to drought condition like there is crop production, all crop failure, unavailability of drinking water, unavailability of irrigation water,unavailability of fodder & water for domestic animals,unavailability of employment etc.
Due to unavailability fodder MPSSM proposed to provide fodder to domestic animals. Total 300 farmers & 1000 animals will be benefited.
MPSSM will purchase fodder from 25 Km from Karmala block (Ujani dam) & distribute to 300 farmers.
Total 400 ton fodder required for 20 days for 1000 domestic animals. One big domestic animal need 20 Kg fodder per day that is for 1000 animals we need 400 ton fodder for 20 days.
The avg. rate of fodder 2.5 per kg that is we need 400000 Kg fodder (400000 X 2.5=1000000 rupees)
