Story

Daksh Netralaya is a new private eye hospital in Jabalpur. Although Jabalpur has a number of such hospitals, the rural outreach of eye care in surrounding regions is poor. Both our doctors are trained from premier non for profit eye care systems i.e Aravind Eye Care System and LV Prasad Eye Institute. We want to bring the culture of rural outreach in the Mahakoshal region surrounding Jabalpur by reaching out to the needlessly blind by means of a mobile eye clinic. This would require a customisable vehicle, eye care diagnostic equipment and ancillary services.
Our budget for procurement of such a customised vehicle is between 15-20 lakh INR which is the price generally quoted for the same. Hence this amount will be utilised to buy the vehicle. The remaining fund if generated will be used to first procure any additional equipment that maybe necessary for the functioning of the mobile eye clinic and the remaining put to use to support our extremely needy patients who cannot afford even basic eye care facilities. To summarize:
1. Customized vehicle for mobile eye clinic: INR 15 lakh
2. Other eye care/supportive equipment: 5 lakh
3. Reserve fund: INR 5 lakh for needy patients.
We hope we get your support to reach out to those people in the rural areas for whom access to eye care in cities is still a distant reality.
