Yuvraj 9-month-old child born at home in June 2016. Due to recurrent episodes of  pneumonia and fast breathing his father took Yuvraj to a Child Specialist, who diagnosed Yuvraj with  rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects that are present at birth called Tatalogy of Fallot. 

Due to his illness, low oxygen rich blood reaches to the body which resulted into fast breathing and bluish discoloration of peripheries and lips. It is also a major reason behind a poor weight gain. 

His father runs a small shop on rent in the slum area of Delhi. There are four members in the family living on rent in Sangam Vihar, Delhi. Doctor's suggested two surgeries to overcome from his life threatening disease to Yuvraj. He presently needs a surgery of BT Shunt  and after two years, he will again need a final surgery called TOF Repair for the complete cure from his heart defect. There is no other medium to save his life other than surgeries of his heart. The cost of BT Shunt Operation is 2.5 Lacs. 

 Yuvraj's father struggling to fulfill the basic needs of his family and arranging 2.5 lacs is impossible for him. He even don't have any piece of property which he can sell off to arrange money for the operation of his son.  

To make the situation worse, unfortunately there is no help offered from the Government side to children born with heart defects in India. There is long waiting list available in AIIMS other than that no pediatric care available in other hospitals of India for such children. According to doctor's such children don't have much time and they needs treatment on urgent basis. 

The Child Heart Foundation is a registered trust running by parents having children born with heart defects. We have overcome from the tough phase of our life and now we want to give back to the society by helping poor children born with heart defects.
