Help Tamil Nadu Farmers

Failed monsoons have plunged the TamilNadu's agrarian sector into distress.

After losing much of the summer (Kuruvai) crop without water from Cauvery, A weak Northeast monsoon also caused Winter (Samba) crops to fail too.

240+ Farmers died till now. Few of them committed suicide as they cannot lead or support their family or pay their loans and few of them died of shock as they cannot withstand their crops die. That’s the state of Tamil Nadu Farmers at present.

Enough has been seen on the suffering of farmers with no rain in various parts of the Tamil Nadu.

Instead of pointing fingers or waiting for things to happen, let us join together to raise funds and support our farmers in every possible way.

As a first step, we have created our page which has close to 500 supporters

Below is what our team has planned

  1. Identify the farmers and help them to pay their unpaid loans / debts.
  2. Help to pay their children’s education fees.
  3. Discuss with the farmers directly and understand on what other possible ways we can help them to continue farming and accordingly arrangements will be done.
As of now, we have reach to the districts of Kanchipuram, Trichy and Pudukkottai. The funds we raise will spread across these districts for now and it will eventually spread to other parts of the state.

This is an on-going project and hence we need your support as we expand. We will also be providing periodic updates on how the funds are utilized.

Thanks all for your support.
