The Sarayu Charitable Trust has been working for the last three years towards uplifting and improving the living conditions of street children of the Vijayanagar Area, Bangalore. In this regard the Trust, led by Mrs. Nagarathnamma, is relentlessly toiling towards gathering the street children, providing necessary shelter, nutrition, love and care, and giving them an excellent education to make these children a part of the mainstream society and rescue them from the demon of social vulnerability and abuse, which has been prevalent through their generations.

Thirty-three of the children rescued by the Sarayu Charitable Trust have been studying in high quality schools since they were rescued from the streets of Vijayanagar area three years back. Having excelled in academics and co-curricular activities these children have proved that the only difference between them and other children of the mainstream society is the lack opportunities and a right platform. Sarayu Charitable Trust has been providing the necessary opportunities and exposure for these children who one day will become responsible, resourceful and respectful citizens of India.
