Simba, Cherry and Brownie all have different stories but we hope for a similar happy ending for all three of them.
Simba was born in a slum area in New Delhi. As a puppy, he was picked up by a few children for the sake of entertainment and then thrown off in another place from where he could not find his mother or siblings. His rescuer tried for months to find him a home in Delhi itself but in vain. He is now 11 months old.
Cherry, another street puppy, was hit by a car leading to internal injuries. She was also disowned by her biological mother who attacked her several times. Several bites and wounds later, Cherry was rescued. She is now 7 months old.
Brownie, adopted by a slum-dwelling family, was abandoned on the street when they realized the financial responsibility of homing a dog. They then dumped her in an alien street. Brownie has no skills of survival on the streets due to spending her initial few months in the safety of a home. She is now 10 months old.
All three dogs are unable to survive on the streets or find a home in India. They are getting the opportunity to get adopted in Chicago via the International Street Dog Foundation (ISDF). We need your help in raising funds for the same!
A cost break up (per dog) is as follows:
Flight tickets: Rs. 28000
Crate: Rs. 12000
Boarding + training: Rs. 9000
Total: Rs 54000 per dog! This means that we have to raise a total of 1,62,000 to be able to secure the future of all three dogs.
Please donate to help Cherry, Brownie and Simba live a happy life!
