I never thought my life would change so much in just one moment. It was an ordinary evening. I was riding my bike with a friend, talking about the day’s work and the plans for tomorrow. Then, out of nowhere, a speeding jeep hit us. I remember the loud crash, the pain shooting through my body, and then everything went dark.


The Public Had To Step In And Take Me To Hospital

When I woke up in the hospital, I could feel too much pain in my legs. The doctors told me my right leg and right hand were badly damaged—three bones were broken. My left leg was also badly hurt. The injuries were so severe that I’ve already had four surgeries, and I still need three more to recover.


How Am I Supposed To Work Without My Legs

I am a farmer. My life and my family’s survival depend on my ability to work in the fields. I can’t walk the land, plow the fields, or tend to the crops without my legs. My work requires strength and movement, and I can’t stand right now. This one accident has brought my family to its knees.


I Don't Know What The Future Holds For Me

I am the only earning member in my family, and I have been in the hospital for the last three months. My wife is a homemaker, and we have two young daughters, aged 10 and 8. They are in the 5th and 4th standard. My daughters look up to me for everything. They smile and ask, “Papa, when will you come home and play with us?” But the truth is, I don’t know how long it will take for me to recover. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to recover without help.


We Have Already Exhausted All We Had

The cost of my treatment is huge— Around 6 lakhs for all the surgeries. We had already spent everything we had and borrowed as much as we could from family and friends. But it’s still not enough. I feel so helpless. My family is struggling, and my daughters need me to get better.

Every day, I pray for strength—not just for me, but for my wife and children. I need these surgeries, not just to recover, but to give my daughters the life they deserve. Their education, their dreams, their future—all of it depends on me.
