On 2nd September at around 6.30 pm when Rishi Sharma and couple of his friends were playing football in the Shell Colony, Chembur ground, four hooligans who were drinking in the premises approached them and told them to stop playing. When Rishi and his friends refused, they were beaten up by these hooligans. Rishi was hit on his head with an umbrella rod and when he fell down, his head was smashed with a stone.
He was taken to Zen hospital, Chembur in a critical state. Doctors operated and removed skull pieces and blood clot from his brain after which he started moving his limbs in semiconscious state. He is on ventilator and Doctor has not given any assurance of total recovery; it is a very long process in which he has to be hospitalised for at least one and a half months and recovery will take around 6 months.
Rishi's is from a middle class family and his parents cannot afford the high medical expenses. The daily hospital expenses is Rs. 40000/-. Rishi is  18 years old and a budding football player. It is an appeal to all like minded people to come forward and help Rishi's  family with the treatment of their child.
