Reethika's father Rajkumar works as a salesman and his mother is a homemaker. She has a sibling who is 15 years old. Reethika is a class 8 student.

"One day Reethika called us from school and told us she is not well. She had fever continuously and none of us suspected it will be something as serious as this", says Rajkumar

Reethika is now admitted to the hospital for her bone marrow transplant but her parents are struggling to arrange funds to pay for her treatment.
