    P Ranjith kumar

    from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

"Every morning, I used to wake up with purpose, ready to go out and work hard for my family's future. Now, I can do nothing but lie here, helpless and in pain." - Ranjith Kumar

Ranjith Kumar is battling a severe kidney ailment that has left him weak, almost bedridden and reliant on dialysis to survive. The only hope for his recovery lies in a kidney transplant, a procedure that comes with its own set of challenges and financial burdens for his lower middle-class family.

His painful journey began two years ago, now he is jobless

Ranjith's journey began with seemingly harmless symptoms—a swollen leg and persistent vomiting. However, these signs soon escalated into a full-blown health crisis, with Ranjith struggling to breathe and unable to perform even the simplest of tasks. It was only through medical intervention that the true extent of his condition was revealed—a deadly kidney ailment that threatened to consume his life.

"My wife is my rock. She has been over the past two years after I had to stop going to work. She manages everything—our household, our children, and even my care—because I cannot even walk without assistance. She bears the weight of our hardships with strength, but it pains me to see her shoulder this burden alone."- Ranjith, tearfully.

‘We have to borrow to even eat food, how will we arrange money for the transplant?’

As if coping with Ranjith's illness weren't challenging enough, the Kumar family finds themselves drowning in debt. With no steady source of income and mounting medical expenses, they have been forced to take out loans and even mortgage their home papers to make ends meet.

"We are on the brink of financial ruin. No relatives have come forward to help us, and time is running out. I need two dialysis sessions every week, where one session costs INR 2000. My medicines cost an additional INR 6000. Additionally, my children are in school and I have to consider their expenses too. I need a kidney transplant at the earliest to have any hope of a normal life again."- Ranjith.

This family is in dire need of help to save the head of their family.
