Dear All,
I am quite keen for studies and my determination can be traced in my earlier education. I belong to one of the remotest villages of India, and I have done my education from a village where a child must walk into another village which is approximately 2 miles away, for primary education, ride the bicycle for 12 Kilometres daily for secondary education and 30 Kilometres for senior secondary education. Despite these challenges, where quite a certain number of students drop out from studies, I got distinction in mathematics in secondary education and first division in higher secondary education. Also, I managed to get admission to college. In college, I secured honours degree.
Now with my dedication, I have secured admission in one London School of Economics for Master of Public Administration program. The reason for choosing this course is that I want to become a public servant but I am facing an extremely difficult challenge to get admission due to unavailability of money. My total education expenditure is approximately 60 lacs rupees and I am unable to afford it. I tried to get education loan from the bank but all Indian banks only provide up to 7.5 Lacs INR education loan without collateral and if loan amount exceeds than 7.5 Lacs INR then they need collateral of the worth of 125% of actual loan amount. To support my education including my savings I need a loan of at least 50 lacs INR. My father’s entire property does not even amount to this much amount. Hence, I don’t have anything to put on collateral and banks do not even consider talking to us regarding education loan.
My father was the only earning source in the family and being a farmer, my family’s average income used to happen barely enough for survival and now he is retired and both of my parents are dependent on me.
Therefore, I am seeking your help to support me for education, I assure you I will return a favour in terms of helping society as much as I will be able to.
