Baby Phool is suffering from life threatening pneumonia. His lungs are constantly filled with water and he can’t breath without struggling. He has severe infections which can damage multiple organ systems. He needs to stay in NICU for at least 2-3 weeks to survive.

Skipping work is not an option for me

Akbar works as a daily wage labourer. He loads and unloads heavy material from trucks. He works more than he can bear to earn that extra penny. His body aches from the extra work but he has no other choice - every rupee is so important to save his son right now.

I can’t call my husband, I can’t call home

“We can’t afford another phone, only my husband has one. He has to go to work but I can’t call him if something bad happens, neither can I call home to check on my other two children who are alone. I worry about each one of them all day,” - Ishrat
