    This fundraiser will benefit

    Khushba Parvin

    from Bengaluru, Karnataka

Living in a peaceful village, in a small house of their own, with a farmland that produced enough for them to live by and two beautiful daughters, there was nothing more that Abdul and Irina needed. But everything changed when their younger daughter was diagnosed with cancer.

She lost one eye to cancer and may lose another

"Khushbu was just 6-months-old when we noticed that something was wrong with her left eye. It had a white spot in it and soon it was confirmed that she had cancer. Before we could even start the treatment, she lost her eyesight in the left eye and now, cancer threatens to take away the sight of her other eye too." -Irina, mother

2-year-old Khushbu suffers from Retinoblastoma, a rare form of cancer that rapidly develops from the immature cells of a retina. She was given chemotherapy last year to kill the cancer cells but unfortunately, the cancer relapsed.

She deserves to see the world with her eyes

"I had a nightmare once, where I saw my child lost in the darkness, unable to find a way out and since then I had trouble sleeping. It hurts to even think that it might come true one day. When I see her eyes, I can see the cancer that is hiding behind them. She deserves to see the world and live a normal life. Why is it happening to her? She is just a baby!" -Abdul, father

She needs a combination of treatment, which includes high-dose chemotherapy, radiation and focal therapy to win this battle without which she might lose her vision or need to have the eye removed.

But the parents are struggling to afford the treatment

"The cost of the treatment is beyond my means. Cancer is killing my child slowly and I am unable to do anything to take it away, I am unable to afford it. Everything that I had, everything that I borrowed for her treatment is spent so far and I have no money left, not even enough to afford a ticket back home." -Abdul, father

They came from an interior village in West Bengal. In hope to save their little girl, they travelled hundreds of kilometres but they are unable to keep up with the expenses. They can neither leave nor stay. They need your help to save her.

You are their only hope. Your generous contributions can save this little child and her eyesight. Click here to contribute.
