He needs continued ICU care to survive

4-months-old Ishaan suffers from Myocarditis, a condition caused by a viral infection that has severely weakened this little one’s heart. His condition is so serious right now that it can lead to heart failure and even sudden death. He needs to be in continuous observation and on mechanical ventilation to survive.

The mother fainted when she saw him in the ICU

When Ishaan’s condition was a little stable, the parents were allowed to see him in the ICU. While Syed was processing all that has happened just within a matter of a few hours, Ruksar fainted looking at her child in that condition.

“She was devastated at the sight of Ishaan on that bed, with all the machines attached to him. Within the next few minutes she fainted. I had to take her home and after that the doctors didn’t allow us to visit him as he risked infection. He is better now but still not out of danger." - Syed

The father started selling eggs on the street to survive

Life had not been easy for this family in the last couple of months. Syed used to work at a wallet manufacturing workshop, where he was paid on weekly bases for his labour but he lost his job due to the pandemic and had no option but to sell eggs on the street to run the household.

“I don’t know how am I going to afford my son’s treatment. I sell eggs for a living now. I have no income, no valuable thing that I can sell. Without the ICU care, I am going to lose him. Help me save him please!
