“My son was just 4 years old when he was diagnosed with this immune disorder. Every day since then, he has been fighting for his life. He's had high-grade fevers every now and then which crossed 104 degrees. When that happens, his small body trembles uncontrollably and he cries endlessly. If this continues, doctors say he might... that we might lose him.”
 - Bhavani, mother

Fever that leaves him shivering, and infections that can be fatal

11-year-old Harshvardhan is fighting Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD), an inherited immune disorder that occurs when a type of white blood cell (phagocyte), that usually helps your body fight infections, doesn't work properly. It in turn leads to infections, putting all organs at high risk at all times.

“There is no hospital locally in Nellore that can treat our son’s condition, so we have to take him to Chennai even in emergencies. These past 6 years have been really cruel to our son - infinite hospital visits and medications. But now, nothing can help my son... only a transplant can.” - Bhavana, mother

He needs a bone marrow transplant

If you see Harshvardhan now, you wouldn’t believe he is suffering from a life-threatening disease. His smile will make your heart melt. Despite his constant battle with this disorder, he never missed an opportunity to go to school or play outside. They had almost gotten used to this new normalcy. But now, a transplant is the only way out for this child.

“His sister is a match and is more than willing to donate, but it is us who are failing to save our son...” - Kadiri Reddy, father

Only you can help them save Harsh

“...the transplant will cost us in lakhs, something we can only dream of. We are already neck deep in debt that we took for our child’s treatment so far. Affording this transplant is beyond our means.” - Kadiri

Kadiri works as a daily wage labourer and his income is not enough to even take his son to the hospital in case of emergencies. Only you can help Harsh get a life-saving transplant.
