My name is Govardhan Darade. I was born in a poor farmer’s family in Beed, Maharashtra. We were so poor that I had to leave school early. One day, I met a small girl whose father had died by suicide. With tears in her eyes, she asked me, “When will my Baba come back?” That day, I cried. And I promised myself—I will become a father to children like her.

In 2009, I sold my only land and house to start a small home called Pasaydan Seva Prakalp. I went from village to village, helping children who had no one. Some had lost both parents. Some were working in dhabas or on the streets. I brought them all home because I didn’t want them to suffer like I did.

Today, my wife Ranjana and I take care of more than 80 children. We give them food, send them to school, and love them like our own. This is not an ashram—it is a real home. My wife never said no to any child. She takes care of them like a mother.

But now, we are facing big problems. The roof leaks when it rains. In summer, it gets very hot. We don’t have money for food, and shopkeepers have stopped giving things on credit. I can live with less, but I can’t let my children go hungry. It hurts to see them like this.

As their Baba, I’m doing all I can—but I need your help. I want to build a strong, safe home for them. A place where they are never hungry or scared. Please support us. Every child should have food, a safe place, and the chance to dream.
