My name is Bangaru Tata Rao Vishwakarma and I’m here to fundraise for VESSO, an NGO regd as society, has been striving hard for two years in Andhra Pradesh and also partly Telangana to uplift poor Vishwakarma artisans like blacksmiths, Carpenters, bronzesmiths, stone-carvers, and goldsmiths. Due to technological advancement or economic reforms, many artisans either lost their work or were badly affected. A few even committed suicide while a few others fell sick and died unable to afford good medical treatment.
Since May 2017, VESSO started reaching out to such families whose livelihoods have been badly affected and are struggling to survive.
Supplying sewing machines or wet-grinders to widows to enable them earn extra income;
Funding marriages of brides from poor families;
aiding students from poor families with tuition fee/books;
helping senior citizens, disabled, sick supplying rice/groceries;
giving monthly pensions of Rs.500/- each to old or sick or disabled;
financial assistance towards final rites when death occurs in poor families; and
Budget for 2019-20 envisages work to the tune of more than Rs.4 lakhs as detailed below:

- This apart, VESSO members perform Anna Danam at govt hospitals and also support a few orphanages at Miyapur, New Bhoiguda and Gurramguda, Hyderabad.
