    This fundraiser will benefit

    child of Nelakuditi Revathi

    from Hyderabad, Telangana

We see her from afar every day, fearing, we might cause her more pain than she already is in. There are rare times like these when we gather enough courage to touch her but her condition… 2 weeks ago she was all fine. She was playing with her sister, running around with her little feet, calling me ‘amma, amma’. Watching her bedridden, struggling to even breathe is killing me.” Revathi, mother

Her lungs were filled with fluid and were severely infected

On 5 October, Revathi and Omkar had to rush their 3-year-old daughter in an ambulance to a hospital, when she started to experience severe breathless. As soon as they reached the hospital, these parents were told that her lungs were collapsing and their daughter was admitted to the ICU.

Our child is old enough to talk and observe but not old enough to understand what was happening to her. She was screaming and asking us to remove the wires and oxygen mask attached to her. After a few hours and a lot of tests, we were told that she had severe pneumonia and on top of that, swine flu. Her lungs were filled with fluid and were severely infected. We still can’t grasp how she ended up in such a state. Our healthy child...how?” - Omkar, father

‘All her organs started giving up on her’

“Within two days of admission, she was put on the artificial heart and lung support machine, all her organs started giving up on her.”- Revathi, mother

This little girl is currently on ECMO, where a machine is helping pump and oxygenate a the little girl's blood outside her body, allowing her heart and lungs to rest. She needs remain on ECMO support for a few more weeks in order to fully recover, which her parents are failing to afford.

‘I am merely a cab driver with 10,000 rupees earnings a month’

Omkar is a cab driver and Revathi is a homemaker. Earning INR 10,000 a month, the couple are failing to continue their daughter’s treatment. They have an elder daughter who is 4 years old, who amid her little sister's medical emergency, is staying with her maternal grandmother and longs to see her family. These parents need 25 lakh rupees to continue their child's life-saving treatment.

“I took loans from my employers, mortgaged whatever we could and even borrowed money from all our relatives to save our child. But, we are failing to continue now. She can and will recover, but it’s me who is unable to fight.” - Omkar, father

Their only hope is that you can help them save their child with your generous contributions and support.
