I still remember the morning it happened. My younger brother and I had breakfast together before leaving for the day. He told me he would finish his part-time job and then join his friends for group study. But just half an hour later, I got a call that turned my world upside down—his employer told me to rush to the hospital because my brother had fallen from the third floor of the building while cleaning solar panels.

My brother is just 17 years old. He took up that part-time job so he could support his dream of becoming an engineer. He always told me, “Anna, one day I’ll build a home for us where we can live peacefully, and Amma-Appa won’t have to work anymore.” But now, that same boy is lying unconscious in the ICU. It’s been more than 20 days since the accident, and he still hasn’t opened his eyes. The fall caused multiple serious injuries, and his condition remains critical.

I’m 20, still a student myself, and I also work part-time to help pay for our studies. Our father works as a daily wage labourer, and our mother is a factory worker. We don’t have much, but we’ve always held on to our dreams. When the doctors told us he needed urgent surgery to survive, we did everything we could—sold our belongings, used up all our savings, and borrowed money from friends and relatives. But now, even those sources have dried up.

The hospital has told us he’ll need at least ₹8 lakhs more for further treatment and surgeries. Each passing day adds to our pain and helplessness. There are times I don’t even know if we’ll be able to buy his next dose of medicine. Watching him like this motionless, tubes all around, not responding to anything is something no brother should ever have to go through.

Please help me save my brother. He’s too young to go through this. He has dreams, hopes, and a life ahead of him. We just want him back smiling, talking, calling me "Anna" again. Your support could give my brother a second chance at life. Please don’t let his story end here.
