After six years of prayers and tears, my baby boy was born—a miracle we had longed for. But our joy was short-lived. Born prematurely, his tiny organs weren’t fully developed, and he was diagnosed with liver disease at birth. From his first breath, he began a battle no baby should ever face.
At only 11 months old, my son has endured more pain than most do in a lifetime. Despite undergoing surgery, his jaundice worsened, leaving him weaker each day. Now, a liver transplant is his only chance at life. I am a perfect match to donate, and I will gladly give him a part of myself to save him.
We’ve spent everything we had—our savings, assets, and loans—on his treatment so far. My husband gave up his grocery shop to be by our son’s side, but it’s not enough. The transplant costs ₹22 lakhs, an amount far beyond what we can afford. The mounting bills are unbearable for us as parents.
I dream of seeing my son take his first steps, say his first words, and grow up surrounded by love. Those dreams feel distant now, but I refuse to give up. He deserves to live a happy, healthy life, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen.
