They Are Dying A Little Every Day Fearing They’ll Lose Their Newborn

“My husband and I are very fond of kids. However, I was not able to conceive for 6 years after marriage. Finally, 2 years ago we were blessed with a baby boy. We planned for a second child hoping it would be a girl. With God’s blessings, I was pregnant again and we were eagerly waiting for the birth of our second baby.

However, in her  7th month, her water broke and she was rushed to the hospital. Sindhu had to undergo an emergency c-section and her baby girl was born. It was the happiest moment of their life.

Sindhu and her husband Vinoth’s happiness was however short-lived.

Their baby girl who turned a month old was admitted to the hospital with breathing difficulty. On diagnosis, they were informed that their daughter has developed a rare type of blood infection which is termed as sepsis. With most cases of sepsis, the chances of survival without proper medical support is minimal.

I don’t understand why God did this us.  We were so happy thinking about our  baby's future and planning little things for her. Now, her life itself is in danger. The doctors have informed that our baby won’t survive without ventilator support and intensive care for the next few weeks. I cannot bear to even think of my baby dying. ” – Vinoth, father

The skin on her arm has turned black and might need plastic surgery.

"This disease is slowly killing her.  She can't speak of her pain, but I can sense it. The skin on her arm has turned black and the doctors have informed a plastic surgery might be required. I am desperate to see my little girl recover and live a healthy life. I wish I had the money to save her. We wouldn't then have to die a little everyday thinking if we can afford the treatment or not." - Sindhu, mother

Vinoth and Sindhu come from a financially poor background. Vinoth works as a private cab driver and earns Rs 12000 a month. He shoulders a huge responsibility of taking care of his parents who are both affected with stroke and are immobile. He is the sole bread-winner and his earnings are not even enough to take care of his family’s needs and medical expenses.

Vinoth is being crushed under financial pressure and emotions. He needs to arrange 5 lakh Rupees immediately to save his daughter. He feels helpless and begs for your contributions.
