Appeal from Anubhav's parents:
Anubhav (a.k.a Ritom) met with a terrible accident on the morning of 07-Oct-2017. He was riding his bike on the NH57 near Lokhra, Guwahati. Night service bus suddenly collided with his bike and dragged him under its wheel for several meters before it stopped.
By the grace of God he survived this life-threatening episode but received debilitating injuries on his right limb, hip area and left foot. His leg got so badly crushed that it had to be amputated the same day at the hospital. We cannot even imagine how a young man of 25 will be brave enough to lead his life after this, as it has irreversibly changed for him now.
He is admitted in Ayursundra Superspeciality Hospital, Garchuk, Guwahati since 7th Oct 2017. At present he is still fighting for his chance to live, as he was unconscious on ventilator support for 3 days and currently in Intensive Care Unit, bravely battling other internal injuries and further surgeries. Though he is responding to treatment and recovering well, he may need to spend 1-2 weeks more in ICU or otherwise hospitalized and will need medical care for next several months before he can even attempt to stand up. The immediate medical expenses during hospitalization can be anywhere between 10 - 15 lakhs.
We are a family of limited financial means and could arrange for only part of these expenses with help from immediate relations and close friends. As the treatment that he needs is to be continued for the next few weeks, hospitalization expenses will go beyond what we can afford to save his life and help him recover. He was the sole earning member of our family and was supporting us all at this young age.
Hence it is our humble appeal to you to donate whatever amount you can manage to help us save our only son.
