Gokulapriyan is a 21 year old young man, resident of Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu. He urgently needs a heart transplant to save his life. Mother Mrs.Vijayalakshmi is a home maker and father Mr. Subramanian is a bus driver . He also has a younger sister by name Ms. Divya Keerthi (13 years old). I had just recently completed my Engineering (B.tech) .
He was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect (atrial septal defect of secundum type and familial Atrio-ventricular node conduction defect) during infancy . This was the same condition that his sister Divya Keerthi was diagnosed with and left her mentally retarded. This came as a big shock to the family.

Gokulapriyan underwent surgical closure of atrial septal defect with tricuspid valve repair in the year 2005 at Kovai Taminadu . Soon after undergoing this surgery his symptoms were remarkably relieved and he started to gain weight.
Until 2015 , he was leading a very normal life with minimal symptoms. In the year 2015 , his tricuspid valve was leaking very severely and was referred to Madras Medical Mission Hospital ,Chennai for further management .
He then required a permanent pacemaker for a complete heart block . He was implanted with a dual chamber Pacemaker (Boston Advantio) .
Currently his condition started to worsen by the day and gets occasional giddiness. The doctors here at Madras Medical Mission have re-evaluated him and they have recommended him to undergo a heart transplant surgery at the earliest .
His family is also not able to cope up with the expenses incurred and an unprecedented medical crisis . They have already spent around Rs.15Lakh so far, for both Gokulapriyan and his sister's surgeries for a permanent pacemaker implantation.
Furthermore mobilizing an estimate of Rs.15 lakhs for GokulaPriyan's heart transplant surgery is a far dream to him and his family .
Apart from his heart condition, his career pathway is also remarkably disrupted and his dream to pursue a masters degree is slowly fading away.
He also requires funds for his life-long medications that will cost around Rs.30,000/month.
His entire family is stressed out and going through a very stressful situation and have exhausted their strength both mentally and financially .
Please contribute and support GokulanPriyan to have a succesful heart transplant.
