They say "good things come in small packages" and I didn't see the true sense of this till I stepped into our class II-A at Chennai Primary School, Koyambedu, now known as The Peacemakers. We are a bundle of immense joy, potential and diversity - everything our India stands for, and lives by.

But why The Peacemakers for a class of II grade children, one might wonder. Is this some army set-up? Haha, definitely not. A minute in our classroom and you would lovingly disagree. :-)

As The Peacemakers, we make a pact (sometimes everyday :-)) to learn just not to read and write but certain values such as respect, love and discipline to create a more peaceful classroom, which will someday contribute to a more peaceful world!

Our school is situated in Koyambedu, right before the Koyambedu Flyover. We are 40 6-7 year old Peacemakers coming from families struggling to make ends meet, yet no doubt invested in educating their children. Our goal is to attain excellent education - we want to start by conquering our subjects and proceed to learning values and being more wholesome individuals. We want our Potential, Energy, Affection, Curiosity and Enthusiasm alone to take us a long way in the journey of ExceMilaap, an online convenient and secure tool for monetary contributions.

We are in need of resources ranging from - recurrently, stationery (pencils, erasers, sharpeners and the likes) to books (story, activity, etc) as well as one-time infrastructure needs (desks, boards, props for stage performances, etc). Any contribution, however small or big, matters a lot to us.
