We are the students of Vikram Sarabhai Hall of Residence, NIT Rourkela. This fundraising is to help our Day-Canteen shop owner Santosh Subudhi. Santosh, a kind hearted, humble and down to earth person is in urgent need of money regarding his mother's health. His mother, Ahalya Subudhi, 62 is suffering from skin cancer. The area of her left palm has been badly infected and is spreading at an alarming rate. This is a severe condition and can lead to critical situation if not treated at the earliest. For this ailment the doctors in Odisha themselves have advised him to get his mother treated in a good and established center for skin cancer treatment at the earliest. For this Santosh and his family has decided to get her treated at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. The surgery alone would cost around one lakh rupees, if not successful would be followed by chemotherapy which would be highly expensive. The whole medication procedure would lead to a whopping amount of Rs. 6 lakhs. He is not financially not that stable to bear this cost all alone by himself. And every month his father's and mother's cost on medicines for previous ailments amount to around Rs.5000-6000. So, we request you to support him in fighting for his mother's condition.  No contribution is small, and we will be very grateful to you for aiding Santosh in this battle.
