01. Introduction:
The proposed project is the start up venture of M/s. Forgmos Farms, an agriculture development enterprise, registered as MSME with Government of India (UAN:   KR03B0016565).
M/s. Forgmos Farms was launched with ambitious vision by a group of educated youth, with commitment to sustainability of the earth, and food and health security of humans and other beings. It was also an effort to demonstrate to the youth and farmers to do sustainable farming through diversifying crops, using traditional and modern farming methods, and to show that farming is not a loss making venture if planned and implemented properly with true sense of mother earth and the market for products.
The proposed project location is a 15 acre farm in a serene village (Narasimhanahalli, near Gowribidanur, 5 Km from the Hindupur-Bangalore highway) already under normal cultivation practices by a family of farmers. They want to give it on lease for 5 years.
M/s. Forgmos Farms decided to take this land on lease as the land is suitable by all parameters for developing into a sustainable, organic farm of high value crops and Ayurvedic herbs, over a period of 5 years of agreed lease, with probability for extension.
It is also ideal as the Managing Partner, Mr. Dilip Kumar have family connections in the village and he is also experienced in farming in the area. The farm land terrain, soil condition and water availability are excellent for the proposed high value crops and Ayurvedic herbs cultivation. The proposed project is planned to be developed as a socially and environmentally responsible enterprise with projected high financial success through high value crops and high value Ayurvedic herbs multi crops cultivation system, and sale of the high value farm products directly to end users-consumers, Ayurvedic manufacturers and exporters.
The proposed project is viable by all parameters as the proposed crops selection is based on demand and price analysis of the selected high value crops and Ayurvedic herbs which command high prices in the market and relatively with low risk compared to traditional crops of cereals and pulses.
There is also proposal to raise additional income by offering various farm based services such as offering the unique organic farm to be developed as a weekend/overnight tourism destination to urban people of Bangalore ( <> 60 KM) with opportunity for familiarizing organic farm biodiversity and farming activities and also taste organically grown food direct from the farm, with additional services including farm stay, yoga and meditation camps etc.
